Facade installation is ongoing at Circle F Capital’s 23-story mixed-use tower at 1 Park Row in the Financial District neighborhood of New York. The tower anchors the southwest corner of a block adjacent to City Hall Park and is the third contemporary development on the block. Fogarty Finger has led the design of the tower, which will feature a facade of floor-to-ceiling glass windows, including curved glass windows at the southwest corner, and panel cladding the piers and slab edges.

When completed, the tower will include ground floor retail, office space at the lower floors, and 58 condo units ranging in size from 1- to 3-bedrooms with interiors by Paris Forino.

Tour: Astoria West

Construction is wrapping up at Cape Advisors’ residential rental development Astoria West on the Astoria waterfront in Queens. Designed by Fogarty Finger, the three building development occupies most of a full block and offers over 500 rental units in over 520,000 square feet. The eight story structures are clad in warm grey brick, metal panel, and stucco.

Residents have access to a package of amenities that include a private resident rooftop pool club, a landscaped courtyard garden, fitness center, golf simulator lounge, co-working lounge, media and billiard room, and a riverfront cafe and bar.

The development offers a mix of residential units including studios and 1- to 2-bedroom apartments. Kitchens feature custom walnut cabinetry, blush quartz countertops, and Blomberg appliances. Bathrooms feature custom vanities and medicine cabinets, and Gre Bianco ceramic tiled flooring.

Tour: 10 East 29th Street - Anagram NoMad

Construction has wrapped up at Global Holdings Management Group’s renovation of residential rental tower Anagram NoMad at 10 East 29th Street in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan. The renovation of the 50-story tower, built in 1999, was led by Fogarty Finger.

Residents have access to a range of amenities that includes a ground floor residents lounge (The Library), a co-working space (The Office), residents only coffee shop (The Cafe), and full-service gym and yoga studio (The Gymnasium). At the roof, residents have access to an indoor lounge with a game room and an outdoor deck (The Top).

Construction Update: 141 Willoughby

Facade installation is nearing completion at Savanna Real Estate’s office tower 141 Willoughby in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger, the tower’s facade features a curtain wall of floor-to-ceiling glass and bronze toned metal panel. The expression of the horizontal banding between glazing increases in height from the ground floor to the roof, ranging from one floor to five floors between the horizontal bands of bronze.

Designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture, the project includes a new tower adjacent to the 111 year old Dime Savings Bank. The tower features white terra-cotta and glass cladding. Terra-cotta panels are mostly installed at the podium and have now started to go up on the main tower volume.

Construction Update: Dock 72

Northwest corner from the East River.

Construction has topped out at Dock 72, a 17-story office building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. S9 Architecture is the designer for core and shell, with Fogarty Finger serving as interiors architects. Approximately a third of the 675,000 square foot building will be occupied by WeWork, which offers coworking spaces. The building features a long rectangular floor plate with a stepped massing that allows for common and private terraces on multiple floors. Curtain wall installation is also underway on the lower floors.

The Jackson

Concrete superstructure has topped out and window installation is underway at The Jackson, an 11-story, 53-unit residential condo building under construction on a triangular shaped lot in Long Island City. Designed by Fogarty Finger, the building features a façade of exposed concrete, large divided-light windows, and wood panels that are meant to evoke the industrial past of the neighborhood. At the southeast corner of the ninth floor, the building envelope begins a series of step backs that create sizable outdoor terraces for the residences on the top three floors.
