Construction has wrapped up at Kushner’s two-tower residential rental development in the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Woods Bagot, the development sits adjacent to the Journal Square PATH station at its southern perimeter. Between the two towers the development offers 1,723 residential units ranging in size from studios to three-bedrooms.

Amenities
Residents have access to the Journal Club, a large assortment of amenities located at the base of the two towers. Amenities focused on heath and wellness include a fitness center, indoor basketball court, rock climbing wall, golf simulator, bowling lanes, yoga/barre studio, indoor pool and cold plunge, sauna and steam rooms, and outdoor pool and deck. On the entertainment and productivity side, there is a screening room, sports lounge, game room, party room, kids’ club, coworking lounge, library, and two rooftop terraces.

Superstructure is rising at a residential condo development at 1800 Avenue at Port Imperial in Weehawken, NJ. Designed by Handel Architects, the development is broken down into two 8-story buildings, both with massings that step down to the Hudson River waterfront. Superstructure has reached the seventh floor of the north building, while the south building follows behind at the third floor. The project’s facades will feature rounded building corners and cladding of glass and metal panel bands at the horizontal slab conditions. A new pedestrian plaza will be located between the two buildings.

Just 70 minutes south of New York on the Jersey Shore, Asbury Park is undergoing a renaissance of culture and real estate development. Adding to the recent boom in live music and restaurants, a new hotel and residential condo development from iStar is under construction at the oceanfront. The Asbury Ocean Club is part of iStar’s 10-year, multi-billion-dollar redevelopment plan for the Asbury Park oceanfront which includes the Asbury Hotel, a bowling alley and music venue at Asbury Lanes, and Monroe’s 34 condo homes.

The 17-story Asbury Ocean Club is designed by Handel Architects and occupies an oceanfront site at Ocean Avenue, between 3rd Avenue and 4th Avenue. A 54-room boutique hotel will anchor the four story podium, with the condo residences in a tower on the north half of the site.

Interiors feature floor-to-ceiling glass and a light palette including bleached white oak engineered hardwood flooring, white lacquered custom kitchen cabinetry by Spazzi of Spain, and polished porcelain Marvel Calacatta bathroom walls.

Hotel guests and residents will share indoor-outdoor amenity spaces on the fourth floor which will include a terrace and pool, pool bar and grill, a garden pavilion, and an outdoor lounge. Other amenities will include an ocean view fitness center designed by the Wright Fit, a yoga room with meditation terrace, spa, children’s facilities, entertainment and meeting spaces, a 17-seat cinema screening room, library and game room, event room, and storage rooms. A private members-only beach club with pool, cabanas, bar and grill, restrooms, and changing facilities will be built nearby and open in 2020.

Construction has wrapped up at 485 Marin, KRE Group’s 18-story residential rental building in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park neighborhood. As the largest rental building in the neighborhood, the project offers 397 units, ranging in size from studios to 3-bedrooms.

Hollwich Kushner has designed the brick clad building with a stepped massing at the center which allows for a view corridor for the surrounding neighborhood and terraces facing north and south, with views to Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

Residents have access to a range of amenities including a fitness center, private dining room, screening room, a 5th floor lounge and connected outdoor amenity deck with a swimming pool, sunbathing areas, and grilling stations. Marin Green, a new public park provided by the building’s developer, has also recently opened on the west side of the building. The Melillo & Bauer Associates designed park includes a lawn, cafe-style seating, children’s play area, and dog park.

Construction has wrapped up on Handel Architects' 1200 Avenue at Port Imperial on the Weehawken waterfront.
Construction has wrapped up at 1200 Avenue at Port Imperial, Lennar's second project in the Avenue Collection on the Weehawken waterfront. Designed by Handel Architects, the building features floor to ceiling glass with balconies scattered about its long, low profile. Condos offered range from one to three-bedrooms.
