Construction is nearing completion at Izaki Group Investments’s 14-story residential condo tower The Village West at 525 6th Avenue in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan. Designed by BKSK, the multi-tiered tower features red brick and accents of green brick and terra cotta. The tower massing introduces numerous steps that provide opportunities for private terraces. Insets along the street elevations create additional corner units with curved bay windows.

310 E. 86th St. - The Harper

Construction has wrapped up at the 21-story residential condo tower The Harper on the Upper East Side by the developer Izaki Group Investments. The tower sits mid-block on the south side of East 86th Street between First and Second avenues. Designed by ODA, the tower’s massing features an eroded volume at the topmost floors and cantilevered bay windows on the east facade that overhang an existing five-story building. The facade is clad in limestone panels and large floor-to-ceiling windows.

15 Renwick Street

Looking up at the east façade.

Recently, I toured Penthouse 1 at the newly completed 15 Renwick in Hudson Square. Designed by ODA Architects, the 11-story condo building features the firm's continuing focus on an interplay of boxy forms for the building massing. By working with New York's zoning regulations for dormers, the firm has achieved a body of projects with a playful, boxy form.

Penthouse 1 offers a 3-bedroom, 3.5-bedroom open layout residence with interior design by Sharon Blaustein. Kitchens feature Italian-made walnut cabinetry with back painted glass from Poliform, along with Miele and Sub-Zero appliances. Bathrooms feature herringbone patterned statuary marble floors, walnut wall vanity, a deep soaking tub, and Transit Series by Waterworks plumbing fixtures. Outdoor terraces are provided on three separate levels with panoramic views of Lower Manhattan and the New Jersey waterfront. Other features include a living room fireplace, Crestron home automation system, and onsite parking for sale.
