Construction has wrapped up at Kushner’s two-tower residential rental development in the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Woods Bagot, the development sits adjacent to the Journal Square PATH station at its southern perimeter. Between the two towers the development offers 1,723 residential units ranging in size from studios to three-bedrooms.

Amenities

Residents have access to the Journal Club, a large assortment of amenities located at the base of the two towers. Amenities focused on heath and wellness include a fitness center, indoor basketball court, rock climbing wall, golf simulator, bowling lanes, yoga/barre studio, indoor pool and cold plunge, sauna and steam rooms, and outdoor pool and deck. On the entertainment and productivity side, there is a screening room, sports lounge, game room, party room, kids’ club, coworking lounge, library, and two rooftop terraces.

Construction Update: Journal Squared Tower 3

Facade installation is nearing completion at the third and final tower of KRE Group and National Real Estate Advisors’ Journal Squared, a 2.3 million square feet mixed use development in the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City. Designed by Handel Architects and HWKN, the 60-story tower is clad in the same grid of white metal panels and punched windows as the two adjacent towers from earlier phases. Also present is the alternating blue flagging at the windows and the signature vertical glazing strips that rip through the gridded tower facades.

When completed in the first quarter of 2024, the tower will offer 598 rental residences and an additional 18,000 square feet of amenities to the large collection already present in the first two towers.

Construction has wrapped up at 485 Marin, KRE Group’s 18-story residential rental building in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park neighborhood. As the largest rental building in the neighborhood, the project offers 397 units, ranging in size from studios to 3-bedrooms.

Hollwich Kushner has designed the brick clad building with a stepped massing at the center which allows for a view corridor for the surrounding neighborhood and terraces facing north and south, with views to Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

Amenities

Residents have access to a range of amenities including a fitness center, private dining room, screening room, a 5th floor lounge and connected outdoor amenity deck with a swimming pool, sunbathing areas, and grilling stations. Marin Green, a new public park provided by the building’s developer, has also recently opened on the west side of the building. The Melillo & Bauer Associates designed park includes a lawn, cafe-style seating, children’s play area, and dog park.

Interior are designed by Christopher Stevens and feature open floor plans with rustic oak -style wood flooring, large picture windows, quartz stone kitchen and bath countertops, Grohe kitchen fixtures, Whirlpool appliances, and Kohler bathroom fixtures.
